[my new found "didi" derrick. we didn't realise we had so much random stuff in common even our last chinese names are the same!]
I guess this has been like the holiest week in my life. I've been going to church everyday since thurs and i will say its been the most meaningful easter weekend I've spent.
Maundy thurs
Maundy thurs afternoon was spent baking brownies! I shared the portion with Derrick and I kept some of it for the gathering at Bob's place and Aunty Martha. Then evening was at St Francis with lisa, shanil and derrick. And back to have A1's instant curry chicken by chef jack (still required some extra ingredients and skill to taste better - giving you credit ok.. lol.). There was this show called "I Am Sam" on tv - really touching show. But I only managed to catch halfway through it cos apparantly "Lost" was not showing that thurs (Jack is a big fan of Lost and he makes a date with grace and I on thurs to come to our place to watch cos we've got a TV).
Good Friday
Good Friday was mass at St Pats (really beautiful - if it was ever feasible, i'll be dying to have my wedding there with the choir who sound like angels and only boys are allowed to join - interesting.) The entire mass was sung and the whole scene of the crucifixion was sung as well. imagine how long that would have been even when just that part was read out (i guess only catholics will understand.) Well, it was an experience. (:
It was over to yan fen's place at concept blue along la trobe st for the camp music practice, singing all the old p&w songs which brought nostalgic memories, and finally ended the day sitting in a car driving round melb city and finally landing with supper at a 24 hrs Macs along vic parade road in the blistering cold and listening to all the funny cosdu stories. i'm looking forward to this coming camp.
Saturday
Sat was over to Holmesglen station (Burwood) to Bob's place. Met up with the other monash girls who are doing their masters now, not the guys from my batch though. Bob made tacos and salad which was like nice casual lunch hangout kinda thing.
But I wouldn't say i particularly enjoyed my 4 hours there cos i felt like i was attacked at one point in time. comparing what they were doing at monash with melb uni etc. and how i was able to do one year when they had to do it with the adv dip. well, just say i saved my 5k sing (for the adv dip) and got into my dream melb uni. (but a lot of explanation to do to explain my extra 6 months stay here - shall i do a tape record and just press play when someone "asks"?) Anyway, just felt a lil cockiness in them. I'm just glad so far the melb uni people i've met are all super down to earth people. like seriously. AND they made me feel like a mountain tortoise in the suburbs. just because i am the CITY girl. roar.
Easter virgil over at St Pats at night was awesome. Never felt so good for easter before. With the candles lighted and the choir singing it brought easter to a whole new meaning.

[on my way to church: caught a glimpse of the moon which was freaking huge before this - it was almost like 4 times bigger than this, like a big hot air balloon in your face.]
Happy Easter!
It was a brand new day and I went out to the suburbs to meet auntie martha and family for lunch and a little outing at the lavender farm.
Nice warm morning with bright sunshine and a train ride talking to bocky.. in which he made me miss a stop! blur me. And the next train to take back was 15 mins later. raah! okies, called them and they picked me up at the next station.
Over at Serendipity Lavender Farm:

[Having lavender tea and scones like tai tai next to the farm.]

[i love the blueberry jam with gippsland cream on scones. yuums.]

[they do bed and breakfast too. great place to relax for the weekend..]

[Raffaello easter egg from jack. Handmade box with easter chocs from jess. Fresh lavenders from the farm!]
its been a busy busy weekend. time to settle down a lil for the assignments. roar!
