Its been a while.I've been back in melb for a week. And this has been the longest 1st week of school ever. Days seem monotonous. It all just feels so - weird.
Lectures have been alright. Just to update those who will understand, I'm now taking 3 subjects:
1) Frontiers of Cell Biology (new)
2) Principles of Immunology (repeat)
3) Molecular Aspects of Cell Biology (repeat)
I feel like an in-between of a first year student and third year, trying to get used to the new faces around - most of my friends have all flown back to sing or doing honours or grad and working. And besides the previous July batch people, there isn't much people around that you can talk to or count on.
Well, just to say, i do miss my batch of people. Yes, wenora, wilfred, christina, evie, hk, ben this bunch. Its just the classic the classic group la. Sofia eating trips to celebrate all birthdays, bbq session, to finally Verve gatherings that were almost like chalets in a high class fashion.
Maybe I'm just getting the hangover from all the hols, but I guess thats probably all the reasons why i feel empty. Trying to get used to everything new kinda sucks. I'm still trying to get used to my new roomie. new habits to adapt to and trying to not impose mine on her. in any case, its just the first week. there are still i guess 16 weeks to go.
although i do dread all these transitions, i still love melb. thinking about working after that does get me a lil argh. and studying now seems a lil dreadful too. not that i've not been doing so, but getting my ass to the library a 9am this morning (jack's suggestion) with my lecture at 11am, was like a kick start. well. i cant seem to mug at home. and mugging in the library seems to be the next best alternative.
in any case, i'm hoping this weekend is not a dreadful one to pass. besides the point of momba waterfest is here and some guys are suggesting an outing and i'm kinda looking forward to that.
-some things are irreplaceable, thats understood.
don't go around looking for a substitution if there was never an intention to replace.
